Master Tung Dinh

Life Story

Master Tung Dinh, the owner of Quest Fitness, embodies a life dedicated to discipline, respect, and mental focus—principles he’s honed through extraordinary life experiences.

Born in Vietnam, Tung Dinh's journey to the United States began dramatically at the age of 12 in 1975. Just five days before the fall of Saigon, his family was airlifted out, a testament to his father's bravery as a Vietnamese army major and his connections with the U.S. military. This profound escape as a refugee instilled in Dinh a deep and lasting appreciation for the freedoms found in America.

Settling in Murray, Kentucky, Dinh embraced his new home and soon found his calling. He served with distinction in the Kentucky Army National Guard for 13 years, achieving the rank of Captain. During this time, he also embarked on a lifelong passion for martial arts, beginning his study of Tae Kwon Do. His dedication led him to become a 6th Degree Black Belt in the World Tae Kwon Do Federation, and he began sharing his expertise, teaching martial arts in Murray since the 1980s.

Master Dinh's teaching philosophy, which he describes as a "great combination" of his military and martial arts experience, centers on three core tenets: focus the mind, discipline, and respect. He believes these principles are especially crucial for children, who are uniquely receptive to absorbing such foundational values at a young age. Through Quest Fitness, Master Dinh continues to inspire and empower individuals, helping them cultivate not just physical strength but also mental fortitude and unwavering discipline.
